Phillip Eugene Mattingly - Manila

Phillip Eugene Mattingly, 24, of Manila died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, in an automobile accident on State Highway 18, just west of Blytheville. Born at Little Rock, he was a Manila resident for 21 years. He attended Manila High School and was employed by Cotton Growers Gin in Dell. He was a member of the Manila First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his companion and mother of his children, Nicki Curnett of the home; two sons, Dylan Mattingly and Zane Andru Mattingly, both of the home; his parents, Felton and Rosann Holt Mattingly of Manila; a brother, Michael Mattingly of Manila; two sisters, Ginger Grissom of Manila and Tina Bohannon of Pine Bluff; maternal grandparents, Gene and Annabeth Holt of Milligan Ridge; and paternal grandparents, John and Edna Mattingly of Little Rock.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Manila with the Reverends Craig Russell, Waymon Holt and Ray Dill officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
