Myrtle Esther Sharp - Leachville

Myrtle Esther Sharp, 93, of Leachville, widow of D.B. Sharp, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Monette Manor Nursing Home. Born at Senath, Mo., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Wood and had been a Leachville resident since 1966. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Dewey Wood of Paragould; five nephews, Lloyd Thomas, Martin Wood, Ray Wood, Gerald Wood and Ronnie Billington; four nieces, Norma Jean Billington, Wanda Wood, Carolyn Oliver and Ruth Turner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Billington, in 1996.

Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville, Rev. G.W. Endicott officiaitng. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery.
