Edward Lee Tyler - Manila

Edward Lee Tyler, 54, of Manila, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Med in Memphis from injuries received in a fire at his home. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Bessie Martin Tyler and had lived most of his life in Manila. Mr. Tyler attended Manila High School and was a truck driver and carpenter.

He is survived by three daughters, Genice Styles, Jennifer Tyler, both of Seagoville, Texas, and Rita Tyler of Balch Springs, Texas; four brothers, Larry Tyler of Manila, Randy Tyler of Ohio, Terry Tyler of El Dorado, and Cornelius "Dickie" Tyler, Jr., of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Sharon Kay Hickman of Cardwell, and Rita Jane Tyler Rose of Elkhart, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Jerry Tyler.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Don Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery.
