Emma Donner - Manila

Emma Donner, 92, of Blytheville and a previous lifetime resident of Manila, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville. She was the daughter of Henry and Laura Allen Barker and Charlie Wright. Born in Harrisburg, she was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. According to her family, she was an avid gardener, had published a cookbook, and was very artistic and talented with both needle and brush.

Her parents, husband Leo "Bill" Donner, daughter-in-law Martha Shedd Donner, and son-in-law Calvin Lamb preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Naida Lamb of Knoxville, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Deborah Donner of Manila; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Pinnell Capehart of Holland, Mo., and Diane and Steve Powell of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Carl Wright of Ventura, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville, Rev. Joseph Pallo officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
