Charles E. Williams - Buncombe, Ill.

Charles E. Williams, 54, of Buncombe, Ill., died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Ill. He was a retired truck driver for Jerue Enterprise, of the Baptist belief, and had lived in Buncombe for a year, formerly of Caraway.

He is survived by three sisters, Betty Davis of Salem, Levetta Archey of Buncombe, Ill., and Patricia Armstrong of Salem; three brothers, James Williams and Donnie Williams of Caraway, and Jerry Williams of West Helena; a son, Charles James Williams of West Frankford, Ill.; two daughters, Virginia Williams of West Frankford, Ill., and Paula Bell of Stevensville, Mich.; four grandchildren, Ashley and Josh Mitchell, and Amber and Tonya Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Opal Williams; four brothers, Bill, A.J., Rayburn, and Junior Williams, and a sister, Oneda Larry.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Mike Tabor officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Charles James Williams, Randy Eielda, Roger Williams, Joel Heath, Joel Pettit, and George Bell.
