Billy Thomas "Red" Hamilton - Manila

Billy Thomas "Red" Hamilton, 65, of Manila died Thursday, March 13, 2002, at his home. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Frank and Vivian Campbell Hamilton and had been a lifelong Manila area resident. He was a retired carpenter and presently owned and operated Hamilton's Grocery in Manila.

He was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Manila.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Hamilton of the home; a son, Kenneth Blair of Wilmer, Ala., a daughter, Regina McDaniel, of Manila; a brother, Franklin Hamilton, of Manila; a sister, Martha Burchard, of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Kristi Shrable, Adam McDaniel, Josh McDaniel, Della Harvard, and two great-grandchildren, Sarah Shrable and Derrika Havard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Hamilton and Gene Hamilton, and a sister, Linda Moody.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. James Chipman and Rev. Rudy Burrow officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Wayne Hicks, Steve Shelton, Dennis Holden, gene Adams, Dennis Newcomb and Blaine Higginbotham. Honorary pallbearer was John Wayne Malloy.
