Laura May Eaton - Rector

Laura May Eaton, 83, of Rector died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born at Rector, she was a homemaker, a member of Mary's Chapel General Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Glaub-Lone Holly Extension Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her husband, Manuel Eaton, of the home; two sons, John Earl Eaton of Greenbrier and Kenneth Eaton of Leachville; three daughters, Peggy Settlemoir of Sherwood, Carolyn Rippy of Rector and Sharon Gatewood of Bahrain; three brothers, Charlie Berry of Bakersfiled, Calif., Ebert Berry of Flint, Mich., and Finis Berry of Jonesboro; three sisters, Lucy Ray of Campbell, Mo., Frances Beckley of Rector and Robilee Whitlock of Eugene, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rector First General Baptist Church with Kenny Burns and Mark Book officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector. Irby Funeral Service of Rector was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Keith Settlemoir, Barry Settlemoir, Scott Eaton, Travis Eaton, Rob Johnson and Jeremy Johnson.
