Alvin Doyle Snider - Cherokee Village

Alvin Doyle Snider, 57, of Cherokee Village died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at his residence.

A retired carpenter, he was a member of Brighten Community Church in Paragould.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Louise Snider of the home; four daughters, Paula Jackson of Hardy, Lynn Powell and Valerie Hall, both of Williford, and Lisa Collier of Paragould; two sons, Matthew Herren of Searcy and Alan Herren of Manila; four sisters, Syvilla Clayton of Powhatan, Dianna Pitcher of Paragould, Barbara Eubanks of Delaplaine and Bonnie Clayton of Cherokee Village; three brothers, Gallen Snider of Evening Shade, Glendon Snider of Louisville, Ky., and Fred Snider of Jonesboro and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Gracie Shoopman Snider, and two brothers.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Service in Hardy with David White officiating. Burial was in Bradford Cemetery at Williford.

Pallbearers were Fred Snider, Ted Snider, Keith Snider, Jimmy Snider, Charlie Yates and Brian Priest.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Adams and Billy McCoy.
