Rosetta "Rose" Presley - Caraway

Rosetta "Rose" Presley, 77, of Caraway, died Jan. 23, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker, member of Caraway Church of Christ and had lived in the Caraway area most of her life. She was born Feb. 27, 1925 at Hardy.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Presley, of the home; five sons, Ray Presley of Black Oak, Michael Presley of Copperas Cove, Texas, Jeff Presley of Jonesboro, Ronnie Presley of Caraway, and Kenneth House of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Doris Love of Kingsland, Ga., Joyce Irvin of Wheeler, Texas, and Cheryl Schoolfield, of Caraway; two sisters, Hazeline Henry of Paragould and Mary Lou of Illinois; a brother, Laborn Massey of California; 31 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Mary Masey and four grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Caraway Church of Christ with minister Jeff McLean officiating. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
