Frank Schoolfield - Caraway

Frank Schoolfield, 97, of Caraway, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired farmer and painter. He was a member of the Caraway Church of Christ and had lived in the Caraway area most of his life.

He is survived by six sons, Tom and Murl Schoolfield, both of Caraway, Dail Schoolfield of Aurora, Ill., John Schoolfield of Denton, Tenn., and James Schoolfield of Kenton, Tenn., and Michael Schoolfield of Meridian, Miss.; two daughters, Shirley Dunkerson of Caraway and Dallie Billingsley of Buncombe, Ill.; 38 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Schoolfield, his wife, Jessie Elizabeth Schoolfield, and two daughters and two sons.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Caraway Church of Christ with Jeff McLean officiating. Burial was at the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.

Sons and grandson served as pallbearers.
