Ovean Coy - Dixie

Ovean Coy, 86, of Dixie, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She lived in Dixie most of her life and sold Avon products for 27 years. She was a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church for 50 years, where she served as the women's Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Coy of Dixie; three daughters, Sherri Coffman and Joan Baker, both of Jonesboro, and Peggy Guinn of Paragould; a sister, Velma Hankins of Victorville, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Pine Log Cemetery with the Revs. Bill Strickland and Joel McMasters officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Heath Baker, Chris Coy, Ricky Gunn and Kenny Gunn.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
