Joy Doralene Sowards - Milton, Fla.

Joy Doralene Sowards, 51, of Milton, Fla., died Nov. 15, 2002, at her residence. She was an AT&T operator, of the Baptist faith, had lived in Milton, Fla., for five years and was formerly of Monette. She was a member of C.W.A. Union.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Sowards of the home; her parents, Clifton Jackson and Freda Jackson of Monette; a sister, Mary Kaye Redding of Monette; a brother, Roger Jackson of Jonesboro; four nieces, Shawnia Vaughn, Amber Chitwood, Allison Vaughn, and Catherine Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyndon Jackson.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Captain Lovell. Burial was in the Macey Cemetery near Monette. Gregg Funeral Home of Monette was in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Hamil Million, David Harrell, Robert Flannigan, Claude Earl Barnett, Bob Hout and Robert Chambers.
