Cletis Allen Abbott - Paragould

Cletis Allen Abbott, 62, of Paragould, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born at Paragould, was a timber cutter, served in the Army National Guard and attended Faith Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ima Shipman Abbott of the home; four sons, Tommy Abbott of Jonesboro, Randy Abbott of Leachville and Cary Abbott and Cletis Abbott, both of Illinois; two brothers, Johnny Abbott and Bill Abbott, both of Paragould; four sisters, Geraldine Rose of Brookland and Imogene Wiggington, Debra Jones and Christine Halsell, all of Paragould; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie Abbott and Donnie Abbott; a daughter, Norma Diane Abbott; his parents, James and Dora Abbott; three brothers; and a sister.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Dennis Bradley officiating. Burial was at New Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frankie Traywick, Butch Shipman, Steven Shipman, Eddie Davis, Glen House and Don Goodman.
