Flossie Ella Green - Manila

Flossie Ella Green, 85 of Manila, the widow of Gordon Green, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Perkins, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Pearl Speer Evans. She was a former Leachville resident and had lived in Manila since 1995 where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Paul Green of Round Rock, Texas, and William Earl Green of Leesburg, Fla.; two daughters, Glynda Joyce Bates of Bloomfield, Mo., and Charolette Wagner of Manila; a brother, Charles Eugene Evans of Sikeston, Mo.; and a sister, Mrs. Jerry Wagoner of Oran, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Gordon Green; her brothers, Lyman and Leonard Evans, and her sisters, Pansey Higginbotham and Linnie Evans.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Craig Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Monette Cemetery.
