Larry David Despain - Paragould

Graveside services for Larry David Despain, 58, of Paragould, who died Monday, Sept. 16, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, in Brown's Chapel Cemetery with John Miller officiating. Heath Funeral Home in Paragould was in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Lake City, he served in the Army National Guard from 1964-72, worked as a supervisor for then-FMC and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 405 in Lake City.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Despain of the home; a son, Joey Despain of Bentonville; two daughters, Mary Despain of Paragould and Tara Smith of Lake City; two step-daughters, Tonya Thomason and Robin Clifford, both of Paragould; four brothers, Daniel Despain of Los Vegas, Jerry Despain of Tulare, Calif., Leonard Despain of Porterville, Calif., and Steve Despain of Atascadero, Calif., and six grandchildren, Jerry Holden, William King, Amanda Thomason, Zachary Thomason and Travis Clifford, all of Paragould, and Riley Smith of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Myrtle Despain, his maternal grandparents and a grandson.

Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
