Benjamin Cole "B.C." Minton - Milligan Ridge

Benjamin Cole "B.C." Minton, 83, of the Milligan Ridge Community near Manila died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at his home. Born and raised at Hazen, he and his family moved to Victoria in 1934. He had been a Milligan Ridge resident since 1942. He was a longtime member of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Willie Minton, of the home; a son, Bennie Minton of Manila; four sisters, Mae Barker of Osceola, Opal Weems of Hazen, Adell Cortatelli of Arco, Idaho, Theresa Mathis of Texas; two brothers, John Minton of Peoria, Ill., Earle Minton of Hope; three grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and three great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Florence Minton, and a son, Kenneth Minton.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Waymon Holt officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Adams, Robert Adams, Paul Adams, Harvey Adams, Jimmy Adams and Charles Barcom.
