James Douglas King - Heber Springs

James Douglas King, 56, of Heber Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Born in Kennett on Oct. 3, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter Andrew and Jessie Mae Boyer King. He was a service station attendant for Johnson Tire.

He is survived by two sons, James Lloyd King and David Lee King; a daughter, Tresa King; four sisters, Wincie Moody of Heber Springs, Imogene Thomas of Leachville, Lorine Allen of Garner, and Betty Sue Hughes of McRae; four brothers, Junior King and Jackson King of Heber Springs, J.C. King and David King of Salem; two aunts, Mary Claton of Heber Springs and Mabel Bullard of Drasco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Louise, Rosalee, Alvin, Loyd, and John King.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Heber Springs Cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Dawkins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Olmstead funeral Home, Inc. of Heber Springs.
