Melda Ball Primm - Little Rock

Melda Ball Primm, 81, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Home. She was an artist and retired teacher. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and choir, graduate of UALR and received a masters degree in art education from University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She won various awards in art. Her work was exhibited at Arkansas Women in Arts in Senator Pryor's office in Washington, D.C., and the Arkansas Territorial Restoration, the Joint Educational Consortium in Arkadelphia, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Arkansas Exhibition at the State House Convent Center.

She is survived by two brothers, E.J. Ball of Fayetteville, and James F. Ball of Jonesboro; a son, James B. Primm of Prairie Grove; a daughter, Sammy Marshall of Germantown; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Jim Primm, Josh Primm, Tate Conrad, and Michael Marshall. Honorary pallbearers were E.J. Ball and James F. Ball.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Immanuel First Baptist Church in Little Rock or Arkansas Arts Center.
