Claud Polston - Manila

Claud Polston, 87, of Manila, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Nursing Center in Blytheville. Born at Hazel Grove, he was the son of the late Christopher and Gurthie Baker Polston and had been a Manila resident since 1944. He was a retired farmer and member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Polston served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Burke Polston of the home; a son, Larry Dean Polston of Pittsburg, Kansas; two daughters, Faye Davis of Manila and Lavella McWilliams of Blytheville; two sisters, Annell Bailey of Searcy and Annaleaise Forrest of Mishawka, Ind.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Waymon Holt officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
