Mary Sue Fisher Moore - Monette

Mary Sue fisher Moore, 88, of Monette, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was retired as Jonesboro High School Librarian, a member of Monette First United Methodist Church, and a member of Craighead Retired Teachers Association. She received her B.S.E. Degree in English from Arkansas State University and her Masters Degree in Library Science from George Peabody College (now a part of Vanderbilt University) in Nashville, Tenn.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Armstrong, of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Michael Armstrong of Benton and Sue Ann Armstrong of Conway; one great-grandson, Chase Armstrong of Benton; seven nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James Robert and Beulah Adela Fisher and her husband, Arthur "Kip" Moore, and one brother and one sister.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gregg Funeral home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Everett Isom officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Active pallbearers were Jerry Reed, Russell Strickland, R.E. Bud Cannon, Jodie Brown, DeVane Baldridge, Gene Gathright, and Dennis Gathright.

Honorary pallbearers were Monette First United Methodist Women.
