Vaughn Theo Hutton - Hoxie

Vaughn Theo Hutton, 77, of Hoxie, formerly of Manila, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his home. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Mary Jewell Hutton and had lived in Hoxie for the past 50 years. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Manila Methodist Church. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and had served in the Normandy Invasion where he received a Purple Heat during the D-Day action in France.

He is survived by his wife, Loraine Rice Hutton, of the home: a brother, Billy Joe Hutton, of Kennett; three nephews, Vaughn Wright Hutton of Marion, James Randolph Hutton of Jonesboro, William Mark Hutton of Blytheville.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery with Military Honors provided at graveside by the Herman Davis American Legion Post of Manila.
