Donald "Don" Sparkman - Jonesboro

Donald "Don" Sparkman, 57, of Jonesboro died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at his residence. He was a retired truck driver for McFarlin Trucking Company, associated with the Monette Assembly of God, and had lived in the Monette area most of his life.

He is survived by four sisters, Bobbie Henderson of Shawnee, Okla., Betty Smithee of Lake City, Terrie Cook of Tulsa, Okla., and Helen Williams of Monette; three brothers, Dean Sparkman of Monette, Richard Sparkman of Monette and Jimmy Sparkman of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and I.V. Sparkman.

A graveside service was held at the Macey Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Tom Wellman officiating. Gregg Funeral Home of Monette was in charge.
