Lula Pasley Rushing - Jackson, Tenn.

Lula Pasley Rushing, 82, of Jackson, Tenn., died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Benton and Rennie Brown Pasley and was born in Manila. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Glen Rushing and wife, Jackie; four daughters, Freida Stout and husband Rex, Linda Latch and husband Tommy, Joyce Jones and Faye Davis, all of Jackson; a brother, Henry Pasley of Manila, and a sister, Ruth Mae Baswell of Monette, 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Brooks Rushing; a son, Benton Eugene Rushing; and two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

The funeral was held at 4:30 Friday, May 3, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in Jackson, Tenn., with Rev. Clarence Kitchen officiating. Burial was in Beech Bluff Cemetery.

Active and honorary pallbearers were grandsons.
