Billy Ray Ford - Caraway

Billy Ray Ford, 61, of Caraway, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was a retired security guard, affiliated with the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church, and had lived in the Caraway area a lifetime.

He is survived by two daughters, Lois Thomas of South Haven, Miss., and Kathy Sanders of Big Flat; two brothers, Paul Ford and Garland Ford, both of West Memphis; five sisters, Wilma Grady of West Memphis, Wanda Johnson of Cordova, Tenn., Carolyn Clements of Trumann, Sharon Adcock of Jonesboro, and Thelma DuMond of Columbia, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lenuel and Clara Ford and a grandson, Jimmy Lee Tharp.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Waymon Holt officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Active pallbearers were Jerry Simpson, Bill DuMond, Donnie Adcock, Justin Cline, Charles Holt, and Lonnie Holt.
