Mary Francis Wooten - Jonesboro

Mary Francis Wooten, 78, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born at Mt. View, and lived most of her life in the Monette and Childress areas. She was retired from the American Greeting Card Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monette. She was the widow of Robert Wooten who died in 1985.

She is survived by three sisters, Ina Ferguson of Walnut Ridge, Georgia Downs and Hallie Crider, both of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Bobby Wooten and Rickie Wooten, both of Jonesboro, Don Lee Wooten of St. Peters, Mo., and Ronnie Wooten of Covington, Tenn.; a daughters, Sue Martin of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Hart, assisted by Bob Blankenship, officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers were Bobby Wooten, Don Lee Wooten, Ronnie Wooten, Rickie Wooten, Troy Martin and Kevin Wooten. Honorary pallbearers were Ladies Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
