Carl E. Booth - Mountain Home

Carl E. Booth, 85, of Mountain Home, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Mountain Home. Born at Williford, he was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He was on the building committee of both the Caraway and Mountain Home congregations. He was a retired farmer of Caraway and held honorary FFA degrees at the Chapter and State levels. He was board member of the Drainage District 18. He was a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Eurshel Booth of the home; a sister, Lois Finch of Jonesboro; two brothers, Troy Booth of Caraway and Paul Booth of Independence, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Al Morris of Mountain Home; grandchildren, Mark Morris and Shannon Brooks of Mountain Home, Allen Booth of Ravenden and Carolanne Sacry of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Martha "Bell" Booth; his first wife, Mildred Booth; a sister, Ruby Booth Murphy; four brothers, Orville Booth, Boyd Booth, Bufford Booth and Virgil Booth; a son, Glen Booth; a daughter, Joyce Ann Brooks; and a granddaughter, Leign Ann Malone.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Wayne Pickett and Elder Paul Booth officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro with Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Thurman Nuckles, Hershel Colbert, Fred Dowless, Johnny McCord, Harvey Edward Faulkner and Ronald Faulkner.

Honorary pallbearers were Kermit McCord, Paul Earnhart, Vernon Dowless, Ode Ward, John Jackson, Billy Lanier and Thomas "Buddy" Lanier.
