Irma "Bobbie" Knight - Manila

Irma "Bobbie" Knight, 66, of Manila died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at University Hospital in Little Rock. Mrs. Knight was born on Feb. 13, 1935 in Trumann. She was the wife of Herbert Knight, who served several churches all over the country in the Church of Christ. They were married for 48 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Knight, of the home; two sons, Roger Alan Knight of Paragould and Richard Knight of Benton, Ill.; five daughters, Pat Knight of Sacramento, Calif., Donna DeMent of Cardwell, Sharon Knight of Batesville, Sarah Whaley and Dee Dee Bridges, both of Clover Bend; two brothers, William Thompson of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Dutch Thompson of Calif.; four sisters, Bernice Kimes of Trenton, Texas, Geraldine Johnson of Trumann, Christine Bennett of Tampa, Fla., and Mary Lou Wise of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, Kristy and Stephen Knight, Elizabeth and Amanda Whaley, Raven Anglin, Ryan and Courtney Knight, and Jeb and Allison Bridges.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Jonesboro with Walton Weaver, Zane Gray, Billy Moore and Lowell Blassingame officiating. Burial was in Cardwell Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Vernon Green, Ed Walls, Charles Grady, Steve Jackson, Jim Watts and Herbert Starr.

Honorary pallbearers were J.R. Gates, Scott Stubblefield, Robert Tomlinson, Henry Priest, Tracy Reinhart, Dave Aronson, Ernie Malloy and all preachers.
