Oshia Shedd White - Manila

Oshia Shedd White, 97, of Manila, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born at the Clearlake Community near Blytheville, she was the daughter of the late George and Arah Shedd and was a lifelong Manila resident. She was the widow of Albert H. White and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a physicians' nurse for 25 years and served most of her time for Dr. R.W. Ratton.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy White and Bobby White, both of Manila; a daughter, Anita White Beasley of Atkins; a brother, Neal Shedd of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Mazie Robbins of Manila; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
