Charlie Ben Hoskins - Monette

Charlie Ben Hoskins, 97, of Monette, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Monette Manor. He was a retired school custodian, member of the Monette First Baptist Church and had lived in the Monette area a lifetime.

He is survived by a daughter, Laura Jean McClish of Jonesboro; a brother, Owen Hoskins Jr. of Paragould; two sisters, Mary Lou Marshall of Jonesboro and Clodine Naylor of Paragould; two granddaughters, Allecia Troxel of Pocahontas and Lana Hilgeford of Pine Bluff; three great-grandchildren, Robert and Laura Hilgeford and Jackson Troxel.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Monette Cemetery with Rev. Clarence Cornish officiating.

Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Blankenship, Mike Holland, Ron Pique, Dewayne Combs, Jerry Reed, Dr. Dennis Parten and Ricky Golden.
