Hattie Mae Temple - Monette

Hattie Mae Temple, 88, of Monette, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born at Melbourne and lived at Monette most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of the Childress Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Collins of Nashville, Ill., and Pearlie Lasater of Durant, Okla.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Benjamin Temple; her parents, Oscar Palmer Bruce and Fannie Bell Bruce; three sisters, Matry Chipman, Nina Osborn and Elsie Bruce; five brothers, Woodrow Bruce, Kirk Bruce, Carmel Bruce, Rector Bruce and George Bruce.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in Macey Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Pallbearers were David Harrell, Ronnie Bruce, Tommy Swetnam, Sonny Wimberly, Kevin Wimberly and Dustin Harrell.
