Ronnie Dean Keith - Huntsville

Ronnie Dean Keith, 50, of Huntsville, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Harrison. He was born July 1, 1950, in Leachville to James Virgil Keith and Annie Zelma Jackson Keith.

He was a graduate of Leachville High School and Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He was a teacher and coach in several schools in Arkansas, including Flippin, Bruno Pyatt, Yellville and Huntsville. He was a member of the Presley Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Arkansas Coach's Association and Woodmen of the World.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War having received two Bronze Stars.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Keith of the home; his mother, Zelma Keith of Leachville; a son, Aaron Keith and his wife, Allison, of Siloam Springs; a daughter, Rhonda Wilbanks and husband, Nick, of Huntsville; a brother, James Keith and wife, Ruth Ann, of Leachville; a half-brother, Harold "Sunny" Keith, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Charolette Pruitt and husband, Paul, of Bella Vista, and Saundra Kay Pickle and husband, Paul, of Jonesboro; a granddaughter, Baylie Christine Keith of Siloam Springs; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bud and Pat Hunt of Harrison; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hunt of Conroe, Texas; four nephews and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service as held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Cook officiating. The funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Leachville with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Woodmen of the World Youth Camp or the Presley Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntsville.
