William Troy Hinson - Jonesboro

William Troy Hinson, 85, of Jonesboro, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jonesboro.

He was a retired farmer, member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and had lived in Jonesboro for the past nine years formerly of Monette and the Delfore Community. He was born in Jackson County.

He is survived by his wife, Jesteene Chrisman Hinson of the home; two sons, Mike Hinson of Jonesboro and Rick Hinson of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters, Brenda Gulley of Jonesboro and Wanda McCrackin of Jonesboro; two sisters, Glina Braden of Monette and Lucille Wilson of Taylor, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Lavon and Dwynne Hinson; a brother and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clarence Cornish officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
