Homer Pierce Tatum - Little Rock

Homer Pierce Tatum, 83, longtime resident of Little Rock, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born Sept. 26, 1917, in Humboldt, Tenn., he was the son of Finis E. and Annie Earl (Pierce) Tatum. He lived in Manila many years, where he finished high school. He managed Manila Lumber Co. for many years, was retired from Celotex Corporation and was an avid golfer. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John P. Tatum, Rex C. Tatum and Lex E. Tatum; his wife, Mary Ruth Moore, and a daughter, Sherry L. Tatum.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Kay Harmon of White Hall; a son, Tom D. Tatum of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Curl of Hot Springs and Richard J. Williams of Bryant; a stepgrandson, James R. Harmon Jr. of Hot Springs, and three great-grandchildren, Saxon S. Shepard, Emma B. Williams and Shelby A. Harmon.

Services were March 10 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
