Vance Mace, Jr., 66, of Manila, passed from this life, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born at Dyess, he was the son of the late William Vance Mace, Sr. and Lottie Veda Scott Mace and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1965 graduate of Manila High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Fallon Olivia Mace.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Bolin Mace of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Courtney Mace of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Tony Johnson of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Callie Elizabeth Mace, Garrett Vance Mace, and Mace Andrew Johnson. He also leaves a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Ray Banks of Paragould; three nieces, Deana Forrester, Tennille Roberts, and LeAnn Mace; one nephew, Scott Mace; four great-nieces and seven great-nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
