Margaret "Beadie" Freeman McWilliams

Margaret "Beadie" Freeman McWilliams, 90, of Manila passed from this life Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Manila Nursing Center. Born in Marmaduke, to William Newton and Fannie Earls Freeman, she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Manila. "Beadie" was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, had a green thumb and could grow anything. She was a past member of MWU and a past Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris E. McWilliams; brothers, Dub Freeman and Lonnie Freeman; sisters, Ruby Atkinson, Annie Bunn and Jewell McAdoo, and stepfather, Lawrence Barnhart.

Beadie is survived by her children, Buddy McWilliams and wife Lavella of Mountain Home, Deborah Donner and husband Gerald of Manila; grandchildren, Sherry Mangrum of Jonesboro, Anne Adkins of Mountain Home, and John Ladd of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Reid Adkins and Justin and Sarah Mangrum, and extended family members, Gerry Donner family of Siloam Springs, Allen Donner family of Manila, and Alicia Donner Phipps family of Knoxville, Tenn.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at First Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. William Piercy and Rev. Jared Russell officiating. Burial was private.

The family received friends at 1 p.m. until service time.

The family requests any memorials be made to Manila First Baptist Church or the Manila Nursing Center resident fund.
