Marie Malinda Martin

Mrs. Marie Malinda Martin, age 81, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born at St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Gottlieb and Esther Orth Albrecht and the widow of Mr. Marvin Martin. She lived most of her life in Manila and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Odell Martin, a daughter, Joanne Johnson, and two brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Glidewell of Manila. Donna Ashley of Monette, Vickie Skaggs of Manila; three brothers,

Alfred Albrecht of Miami, Fla., Arthur Lee Freeman of Little Rock, Ark., DeWayne Freeman of Homestead, Fla.; two sisters,

Katherine Hunt of Manila and

Leona Duncan of Puxico, Mo. Mrs. Martin also leaves four grandchildren; John Baker, Aaron Wallace, Kellye Glidewell, and Shelby Wallace.

Graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
