Ray Neal Rogers

Mr. Ray Neal Rogers of Leachville departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Jonesboro at the age of 84. He was born April 21, 1928 in Monette, the son of Earl and Mabel Ray Rogers. He was a lifelong farmer and owner of Rogers Farms in Leachville. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his summers at Lake Norfork with his wife and grandchildren. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Leachville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glendene Rogers, a son, Gary Neal Rogers, and a grandson, Terry Neal Rogers.

He is survived by his son, Rickey Rogers of Leachville; two granddaughters, Tiffany Waymon and husband Derek of Jonesboro and Makayla Rogers of Leachville; three brothers, James Rogers and his wife Faye of St. Charles, Mo., Elton Rogers and his wife Lynn of Colonial Heights, Vir., and Gaylon Rogers and his wife Ruth of Leachville; a sister, Patricia Rogers of Hazelwood, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Janie Rogers of Leachville; five great-grandchildren, Brian, Jeremy and Tyler Rogers of Walls, Miss., and Braydn and Allie Blocker of Jonesboro.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Interment followed in Leachville Cemetery.

Friends visited at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
