Charles Lee Phillips, 81, of Paragould, passed from this life, Thursday Jan. 12, 2012, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Raymond and Gennie Mae Boyd Phillips. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had lived many years in Florida where he worked for the Velda Farms Milk Pasteurization Plant. He returned to northeast Arkansas in 1987 and later retired from Monroe Automotive in Paragould. Charles was a member of the Newhaven Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay Hinkle Phillips of the home; three daughters, Donna Phillips of Venice, Fla., Sandy Morrow of West Virginia and Rhonda Quintana of Washington; two stepsons, Chris Leipert of Paragould

and Darrell Leipert of Black Rock; two sisters, Raymell Hart of Paragould and Maude Alice McCarter of Pontotoc, Miss. He also leaves two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery.
