Larry Lynn Dildy, 65, of Manila, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Sid and Beulah Briggins Dildy and had lived most of his life in Manila. Larry was a self-employed carpet layer, member of the First Assembly of God in Manila, and was U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Dildy Hamilton; a nephew, Tony Purser; and a great-nephew, Cody Purser.

Survivors include, a sister, Wilma Lindsey of Manila; two stepbrothers,

Darrell Andrews of Diamondhead, Miss., and Cletis Andrews of Arnold, Mo.; a niece, Regina Brown of Jonesboro; three nephews, Kenny Blair of Wilmar, Ala., Terry Purser of Rossville, Tenn., and Tracy Purser of Manila. He also leaves three great-nieces and four great-nephews.

Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Matthew Collier officiating. The family received visitors from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
