Shari Stewart, 61, of Robertsdale, Ala., peacefully passed away Oct. 19, 2011, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla., after a courageous fight against breast cancer. Shari was born April 11, 1950, in Macey to the late Bland and Mabel Harrell Stewart. Shari, or then Sharon, was well-loved while growing up. She was most known for her spunky personality and dedication to her family. She attended Childress, Leachville and Swifton schools, Arkansas State University and later she completed her masters in education and post graduate education at University of West Florida. She was awarded her National Teacher's Certificate while at Rosington Elementary. Created for teaching, Shari taught and motivated the future of this country for over 30 years in Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, and Alabama. She considered her students her children and her fellow teachers her best friends. Perhaps Shari's favorite place to be was on the dance floor where she shined the brightest.

She is survived by her companion, Paul Webb; her daughters from marriage to Jimmy Hulett, Julie (Tom) Hulett Baltz and Jamie (Ryan) Hulett Prior; her son, Nicholas Marlin; five grandchildren, Jack, Sadie, Josie, Thomas and Luke Baltz, and grand-dog Emma Prior; her brothers and their wives, Anthony and Donna Stewart and Jerry and Theresa Stewart; three nieces include Kellie Stewart Beasley, Kimmie Stewart Beckham, and Stephanie Stewart Mellican, and a nephew, Dustin Stewart.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Grand and Willie Harrell.

A celebration of her life was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Chub Qualls officiating. Burial was in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
