David Wayne Russell, Sr.

David Wayne Russell, Sr., 58, of Lake City, died March 22, 2011, at his home. Born Sept. 30, 1952, he was the son of Thurlow Wayne and Elizabeth Kosten Russell and had been a longtime area resident. Mr. Russell was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Church of God in Lake City. Mr. Russell loved his family unconditionally and was a wonderful husband, father, confidant and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy Russell of the home; five sons, David Wayne Russell II and wife Chasity, Steven Michael Russell and wife Misty, Ron Norris Holbrook and wife Angie, Greg Davidson and Craig Skikenski, all of Michigan; five daughters, Amy Lynn Russell, Melissa Russell Misner, Rachel North and husband Rob all of Michigan, Crystal Hagen and husband Chip of Lake City, and Tracy Branin and husband Kevin of Indiana; his mother, Betty (Busha) Sperlik; three brothers, Steve Russell, Mike Russell and Marty Berciunas, all of Michigan; three sisters, Judy Anderson, Denise Laponsie and Kim Russell, all of Michigan; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, stepfathers and one granddaughter.

The family has requested private disposition and interment under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila.
