Ruby Smith Stone, 81, of Leachville, died Friday Feb. 25, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Rouse Smith and had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a former employee of the Brown Shoe Company in Leachville and was a licenced beauty operator.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Sue Hall; three brothers, Norman Smith, Carl Smith and Ray Smith; three sisters, Bertha Taylor, Lucille Lorren and Maxine Huddleston.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Stone of the home; two sons, Donnie Ray Hall of Monette and Tommy Gene Hall of Manila; a daughter, Debbie Kay Hall of Manila; three grandchildren, Billy Ray Hall, Angela Hall and Jamie Helton; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday Feb. 28, in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial was in the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo. The family received visitors Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
