Doris Laverne Gardner

Doris Laverne Gardner, 76, passed away Sunday Dec. 19, 2010, in Jonesboro. She was born June 27, 1934, in Dell to the late Tom and Annie (Parks) Patterson. She was of the Pentecostal faith and gave and received true joy in playing with and caring for her "grand-dog" Lacey.

Survivors include her siblings, T.L. Patterson and wife Doris of Haughton, La., Betty Patterson of Lindale, Texas, Dennis and his wife Kathy Patterson of Farmerville, La., and Pat and her husband Pete Ashabranner of Rockport, Texas.; her dear friend Mark Prince, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Gardner, and two siblings, Dorothy Tucker and Eddie Patterson.

A gathering of her family and friends began at noon Tuesday Dec. 21, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette, and a memorial immediately followed at 1 p.m.
