Thomas Harold McGrew, Jr. died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his residence in Hornersville, Mo., at the age of 69 years. He was born May 22, 1941, in Manila. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Henry and Velma Allene Cullen McGrew.

On Oct. 2, 1968, in Leachville, he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Ruth Cole and she survives of the home.

Mr. McGrew served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Virginia McGrew of Leachville and Jackie Waddell of Hornersville and special friend Johnny D. Carroll of Trumann; two sons, Tommy and wife Diane McGrew and Harold McGrew of Hornersville; two grandsons, Mike Hosier and Chris Shaddock, both of Hornersville; five sisters, Betty and husband Eric Kisner of Leachville, Marie and husband Jesse Dewitt of Black Oak, Jeannie Bea Fleeman of Jonesboro, Annie Lee Bowman of Newport, and Debbie and husband Randy Kisner of Leachville; and a son-in-law, Gary Waddell of Cardwell, Mo.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Horner Cemetery in Hornersville with Jarrid McGrew and Rev. David Powell officiating. Services were under the direction of Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
