Michael Stephen Weatherly

Michael Stephen Weatherly, 56, of Kennett, Mo., died Aug. 10, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mr. Weatherly was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Doke and Wanda Weatherly. Mr. Weatherly was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett, graduate of Kennett High School class of 1971 and a graduate of Southeast Missouri University class of 1975 with a B.S. in agriculture. Mike enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and woodworking with his father. He was also very active in sports including martial arts in his youth.

Survivors include his parents, Eulish "Doke" and Wanda Weatherly of Kennett, Mo.; a son, Stephen Michael Weatherly of Kennett; two daughters, Amie Weatherly of Kennett and Lauren McDaniel and husband Nogi of Steele, Mo.; a sister, Sharon Rouviere of Kennett; five grandchildren; two nieces; a great-niece; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the First Baptist Church in Kennett, with Rev. Ed Jansson officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila is in charge of arrangements.
