Clyde R. Morris of Jonesboro formerly of Blytheville, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He had been the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Manila, Lone Oak Baptist Church, Blytheville, Unity Baptist Church and Finch Baptist Church of Paragould, and Light Baptist Church, Light, Arkansas. He had also been the speaker for the "Word of Light" radio broadcast on KNEA for approximately fourteen years.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Wilson) Morris of the home; four sons, Roland Morris of Cotter, Phillip Morris, Hot Springs, Clifton Morris, Stuttgart, and Brad Clevenger, Jonesboro. He is also survived by two daughters, Pam Beckham, Ward, Penny (Clevenger) Cann, Clarksville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lucy Morris; three brothers, and one sister.

Graveside services were 1 p.m. Saturday in Finch Cemetery with Reverend Winfred Bridges and Reverend Dennis Strope officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the funeral home.
