Cordie Lee Miller Thomas Dow

Cordie Lee Miller Thomas Dow, 89, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. She was born Aug. 3, 1920 in Knoble to the late Dave and Lillie Miller and was a lifelong resident of Leachville.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Filo Thomas, and her second husband, Burl Dow; three sons, Larry, Jack and George; four daughters, Tootsie, Bug, Anna Mae and Linda.

Mrs. Dow is survived by three sisters, Essy Mae, Wanda Waishkey and Georgie Brown; 11 sons, Shot, BoBo, Pewee, Jeep, Bill, Danny, Dean, Harvey, Tony, Johnny and Albert; six daughters, Doodle, Linda, Debbie, Joanie, Mary and Tutor; eighty-one grandchildren; more than hundred great-grandchildren and many friends.

A celebration of her life was Monday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Leachville. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Vistation was Sunday, Nov. 15, from 5-8 p.m.. at the Second Baptist Church in Leachville.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Johnny, Tony, Harvey, Dean, Danny and Bill Thomas and as honorary pallbearers, Shot, Bo, Pewee and Jeep Thomas.
