David Alan Turner, 52, of Springdale, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, in Springdale. He was born Aug. 17, 1956, in Kenosha, Wis., to Dorothy and Lincoln Turner. He was a concrete superintendent for Manhattan Road & Bridge. He was previously with Mobley Contractors.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Turner, and two daughters, Angela and Meredith, both of the home; his mother, Dorothy Turner, of Manila, and three sisters, Donna Turner of Little Rock, Debbie Ruchti and husband, Chris, of Orlando, Fla., and Dinah Wells of Manila.

A visitation was held at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 8, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.

In lieu of flowers and due to his deep love for softball and baseball, the family requests consideration for lasting memorials to a softball scholarship fund which can be sent to Coach Bill Gray, Missouri Southern State University Softball Program, 3950 East Newman Road, Joplin, MO 64801.
