Betty Sue Storey, 76, of Manila, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at her home. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Leo Flagg and a 1950 graduate of Manila High School. She and her late husband, Noel Storey, owned and operated the Manila Esso Station for many years. Mrs. Storey was a lifelong Manila resident and a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrinka Bounds, a brother, Jerry Flagg, a sister, Ova Dee Flagg, and a great-granddaughter, Ella Carpenter.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Denise Storey of Manila and Doug and Mary Storey of Hope; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Barry Baker of Manila and Christy and Tommy Dillon of Manila; her mother, Lula Belle Flagg of Manila; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a very special friend, Jan Cribs.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Ferrel Duffel and Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers were Greg Jones, Kelly Fields, Allen Donner, Dennis Sammons, Brandon Veach and Paul Wayne Hicks. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Farmer, Wayne Shedd, Epter Lambert, Neil Wayne Oates, Bobby Tucker and Harold McCain.
