Edward J. Evans, 67, of Manila, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Manila Nursing Center. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Keith and Catherine Williams Evans and was a lifelong Manila resident. He was a retired tool and die maker and Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Evans was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Carlean Chipman Evans, of Manila; a son and his wife, Keith and Jana Evans of Leachville; a daughter and her husband, Scottie and Tracey Reinhart of Manila; a brother, Edwin "Skip" Evans of Manila; a sister, Lois Evans of Manila; five grandsons, Tracey Wade Reinhart, II, Zachary John Reinhart, Caleb Luke Reinhart, Adam Blake Reinhart and Trevor Evans; three granddaughters, Tiffany Kiech, Nikki Ivy, and Starr Moore; a great-grandson, Weston Lancaster.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
